The firm completed the examination of Applied Data System, Inc.’s Description of its Integrated Workplace Management Solution (IWMS) and Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) System as of May 15, 2020, and issued the SOC 2 report on July 9, 2020. This report assesses that Applied Data System, Inc.’s controls, policies, and procedures meet the criteria for the security, availability, confidentiality categories and the criteria set forth in the HIPAA Security Rule as defined in the National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-66 Revision 1 (HIPAA Security Rule). As part of the examination, Applied Data Systems, Inc. underwent extensive auditing of its policies and procedures to ensure that its clients’ electronic information is preserved to the highest levels. The opinion in the report is meant to provide assurance to Applied Data System, Inc.’s clients that the description of its IWMS and CAFM System reflected in the SOC 2 Type 1 report was fairly presented, and the controls stated in the description were suitably designed to provide reasonable assurance that the criteria associated with the security principle was met. In an effort to help customers provide safe working environments during the COVID-19 outbreak, new licenses of Archibus' Environmental Health & Safety application (EH&S) will be available to ADSI customers at no cost for the next 18 months, courtesy of Archibus.
The application helps organizations gain control over workplace safety incidents, personal protective equipment (PPE), training, medical monitoring, and work restrictions. This has become especially crucial with the global spread of the coronavirus, and Archibus users are implementing processes to identify and evaluate COVID-19 related incidents and risks. The EH&S application enables managers to quickly associate the incidents with locations and personnel, and then take action. Over the years, Filippi’s reputation in the technical arena has consistently garnered ADSI national recognition for IWMS and ARCHIBUS implementations. Filippi is frequently called upon to problem solve for other ARCHIBUS business partners whether the challenge be a problematic installation or designing a complex customization. Filippi has been an integral part of the ADSI team since its founding in 1984. He manages the daily operations for the company that includes the Development Team, IT team, and project management function for all projects.
